DTEK has opened the 114 MW phase 1 of the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant located in Ukraine. With US$200 million invested in phase I alone, the project comprises 19 turbines and is one of the first to utilize the 6 MW Enventus turbines manufactured by Vestas.
DTEK plans to continue growing the project in phase II with up to 64 turbines to reach an output of 500 MW. However, the plan to expand the wind farm depends on securing an additional US$450 million in funding, mostly from foreign investors and from state-backed international financial institutions.
DTEK is a strategic holding company that develops business streams in the energy sector.
