Doral Renewables LLC, a leading utility-scale solar and battery storage independent power producer, has executed a Power Purchase Agreement with a corporate buyer for its 430 MWac Cold Creek Solar Project located in Schleicher and Tom Green Counties, Texas, USA.
The company has sealed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with an unnamed corporate buyer and it covers 100% of the generated Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) in addition to 75% of the power output. As a result of the agreement, Doral’s total contracted energy capacity now exceeds 1.6 GW. The Cold Creek Solar Project will also feature a 340 MWh battery storage system, designed to enhance reliability and grid stability. Once operational, the facility is expected to generate enough electricity to supply approximately 47,300 homes each year. Operating across 21 U.S. states, Doral currently manages a renewable energy development portfolio of nearly 18 GW, including 400 MW in operation and 950 MW under construction.
