Dominica, a Caribbean island nation, has announced that a 7 MW geothermal power facility in the Rosseau Valley area will be completed by the end of 2023.
Dominica's Minister for Planning, Economic Development, Climate Resilience, Sustainable Development, and Renewable Energy said that work on the project is progressing well and that completion will take about 18 months.
The Dominica Geothermal Development Company Ltd (DGDC) is constructing a binary cycle power plant, which, while more expensive than other options, is the most environmentally efficient.
