DNV has supported Grenergy Renovables in securing financing for the Central Oasis solar and battery storage portfolio in Chile. DNV served as a market consultant to Grenergy Renovables, assisting the company in obtaining project financing for its Central Oasis portfolio in Chile. The deal includes 398 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity as well as 1.4 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) situated in the Maule and Bíobío regions.
The financing, structured with major international lenders—including BNP Paribas as the coordinating bank, alongside Santander and Rabobank—represents an important milestone in advancing Chile’s energy transition. DNV was appointed to deliver end-to-end market consultancy and technical advisory support throughout the financing process. Its role covered market due diligence to assess project viability, an in-depth evaluation of power purchase agreements, and independent verification of the planned operating strategy for the BESS assets. Additionally, DNV analyzed the project’s capability to comply with Chilean regulations and meet PPA commitments through optimized dispatch, diversified revenue streams, and accurate capacity revenue projections.
