Australian builder Decmil Group Ltd has been selected by Global Power Generation (GPG) to deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) works for the 58 MW Crookwell 3 wind farm located in New South Wales.
The AUD23 million (US$16.7 million) contract covers the construction of 16 km of roads, undertake 116,000 cubic metres of bulk earthworks for hardstands, laydowns and building pads, and about 6,600 cubic metres of concrete in tower bases. The construction works are part of the joint venture deal with RJE Global that will handle the electrical balance of plant works for the project.
The construction is set to start in September 2021.
