Capital Energy has closed a financial agreement with Banco de Sabadell for the development of the 50 MW Buseco wind farm project for EUR26 million (US$31 million).
The company is set to receive the first tranche of EUR22 million (US$25.9 million) and the second tranche of EUR4 million (US$4.72 million) that will be subjected to the signing of a power purchase agreement with an investment-grade credit rating offtaker. The financial agreement will mature in 16 years which can be extended to 18 years if the wind farm secures the PPA.
The wind farm will consist of ten 5-MW SG 5.0-132 wind turbines that will be supplied by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. The project is expected to start its commercial operation by 2022.
