Brasil Ventos, a wholly owned subsidiary of Furnas Centrais Eletricas SA, has signed a wind turbine supply deal with Nordex, the owner of Acciona Windpower, for the project. As part of the BRL450 million (US$126.7 million) contract, Nordex will manufacture, deliver, assemble and commission the wind turbines, as well as operate and maintain them for five years. Commissioning is scheduled for November 2019
