Bourbon Subsea Services has completed the installation of the 3.6 MW TetraSpar Demonstrator Floating Wind Turbine Project at Metcentre Test site in Norway.
The demo project is based on the concept developed by Stiesdal Offshore Technologies. Siemens Gamesa has supplied a 3.6 MW wind turbine for the project. Royal Dutch Shell Plc, TEPCO Renewable Power, RWE AG, and Stiesdal Offshore Technologies have partnered to deliver the floating wind demo.
Bourbon Subsea Services has completed the connection of the power cable, which allows the full commission of the project in the coming weeks.
