B.Grimm Power has announced the signing of a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Electricity of Vietnam, the largest power company in the country, for the 420 MW Dau Tieng solar project. The PPA was also signed by co-developer Xuan Cau, a Vietnamese conglomerate.
The scheme is believed to be the largest solar project in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It is located in Tay Ninh, in the south-west of Vietnam. It is being developed in two phases, with the first to have an installed capacity of 240 MW.
The developers intend to commence the commercial operation of the plant in June 2019.
