The North American Development Bank (NADB) has extended up to US$216.1 million in financing to Baywa r.e. for the development of a 200 MW solar photovoltaic facility in Texas, USA.
Baywa r.e., through its unit BayWa r.e. Solar Projects LLC, will design, build, operate, and maintain the Corazon solar photovoltaic project in Webb County, Texas. The project will be built on about 809.4 hectares of land.
Once commissioned, the energy produced from the plant will be sold through a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA), and parts to the electricity spot market.
