BayWa has signed a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) with AB InBev for the 147 MW VERBUND Solar Park located in Pinos Puente, near Granada in Spain.
The solar PV project will be constructed on about 161-ha which is expected to generate up to 260 GWh of electricity per year. The 10-year VPPA will provide clean energy to the brewer of brands such as Budweiser, Corona, and Stella Artois.
Verbund started the commercial operation on September 2022.
