Axpo Benelux S.A., subsidiary of Axpo for the Belgian market has signed a 6-year agreement for the purchase of the power generated by a wind farm in Estinnes, in the region of Wallonia, Belgium.
The 82 MW wind farm owned by CGN Europe Energy produces around 150 GWh of renewable electricity per year with its 11 units of Enercon E126 turbines.
In the context of the power purchase agreement (PPA) with CGN Europe Energy, Axpo Benelux will buy the full output of Belgium’s largest onshore wind farm and will be responsible for the marketing of the power on the national power market. In addition, Axpo Benelux will provide market access and production forecast services to the owners of the wind farm.
