Ares Management Corporation, through Ares' Infrastructure and Power strategy, has acquired the 302 MW Lincoln Land Wind project from Apex Clean Energy, located in Morgan County, Illinois, USA.
Apex led the development of Lincoln Land Wind and Ares finalized preconstruction milestones, including securing turbines, financing (tax equity and debt), and other project contracts. The project has long-term power purchase agreements with Facebook and McDonald's. The companies will purchase approximately 175 MW and 126 MW, respectively, of clean power from the project.
The project features 107 units of GE 2.82-127 wind turbines and is expected to begin operations in late 2021.
Apex Clean Energy will provide both construction and asset management services for the project.
