The Apex Clean Energy has proposed to build the 300 MW Goose Creek wind project in Piatt County, Virginia. A total of 120 onshore wind turbines will be installed in the site.
The facility is expected to be completed in 2021. The company hopes that an estimated US$65 million in tax revenue will be provided to the government over 30 years. About US$40 million of the money will go to Blue Ridge, DeLand-Weldon and Monticello school districts.
Apex has estimated a US$400 million investment for the project.
