Technology giant Amazon has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Eneco for the 130 MW of its 759 MW Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm that will be developed off the coast in the North Sea in the Hollandse Kust Noord Zone.
Amazon's deal with the wind farm is aligned with the company's commitment to net-zero carbon across its business by 2040.
The offshore wind project is being developed by Eneco in partnership with Royal Dutch Shell Plc through their joint venture company, CrossWind.
The wind farm is scheduled for commissioning in 2023.
