Alpiq, Grande Dixence SA, and the municipality of Heremence, have signed a letter of intent to develop a solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Switzerland.

Project preparation is ongoing. A measurement and testing equipment will be installed at the site in the next weeks to collect climatic data and estimate solar power potential. An ecological impact evaluation will follow in summer. By 2023, the partners intends to apply for a building permit and open the solar farm by 2025.
