ACCIONA Industrial will be building the 306 MW Mesa la Paz wind farm for the EnerAB consortium (The AES Corporation and Grupo BAL) in the town of Llera de Canales, in northeastern Tamaulipas, near the Gulf of Mexico. The wind farm will supply clean, sustainable energy to nearly 580,000 homes. The facility consists of 85 units of Vestas' V136-3.45 MW turbine, delivered in 3.6 MW power-optimised mode.

ACCIONA will be in charge of the BOP (Balance of Plant); that is, the auxiliary systems required for proper operation of the plant, including primarily civil engineering, medium-voltage grid installation and electrical wiring. Vestas will supply the turbines.
