AC Energy, the renewable energy development arm of Ayala Corporation, has connected its operational 120 MW Alaminos solar photovoltaic project to the 40 MW/60 MWh Alaminos Energy Storage system in the Philippines.
The battery energy storage system consists of two 20 MW storage facilities that can store power when the demand for energy is low and provide power charging and ancillary services to the national grid for stability.
Both projects are located in the Province of Laguna in the Philippines.
