Abu Dhabi receives EOI for 2.2 GW Fujairah combined-cycle power project tender

Emirates Water & Electricity Company (Ewec), established to replace Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Company (Adwec) as part of plans to unify water production and power generation between Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates, has received expressions of interest (EOI) for the green-field combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in the emirate of Fujairah.

Fujairah Combined Cycle Gas Turbine F3 IPP covers the construction of a 2200 MW project with all its related facilities.

The selected developer will own up to 40 percent of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) company set up to develop and operate the plant.
