The environmental report for the Kosten Aike wind project was submitted and is under evaluation by the local government. The project has power output capacity of 36 MW. It is located in Coyhaique, in Chile’s Aysen region.
The project was being developed by Grupo AQM of Chile for USD 62 million. The project will feature 10 wind turbines. The construction is expected to start in January 2021 in 2 phases. In the 1st phase, 4 wind turbines will be erected. The rest of the turbines will be put up when the project is expected to complete, in 2027.
