Tender issued for 500 MW grid-connected solar PPP project in India

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has launched a Request for Selection tender for the development of a 500 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project located anywhere in India with a Greenshoe Option of an additional 500 MW.

The selected bidder shall set up solar PV projects including electrical networks up to the delivery point at its own cost and in accordance with the provisions of the RfS document. All approvals, permits, and clearances required for setting up of the Project (including connectivity and land registration) and those required from the State Government and local bodies shall be in the scope of the successful bidder.

GUVNL may decide to enter into PPA with successful bidders for a period of 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date of the project. The bidders will be free to avail of fiscal incentives like Accelerated Depreciation, Concessional Customs and Excise Duties, Tax Holidays, benefits from trading of carbon credits, etc. as available for such projects. The same will not have any bearing on the comparison of bids for selection.

The deadline for the submission of documents to participate in the tender is on March 13, 2023
