SunEdison Appoints Julie Blunden As SVP And Chief Strategy Officer

SunEdison has announced that Julie Blunden has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, including responsibility for marketing, communications, investor relations and public policy.

Ahmad Chatila, President and Chief Executive Officer of SunEdison, stated:

"Julie brings a rare depth of industry experience from the early days of competitive power generation through the development of global wholesale and retail electricity markets and has been instrumental over the last decade in leading solar into mainstream power and consumer markets. Julie will lead and unify a portfolio of teams critical for SunEdison's rapid growth trajectory. I am thrilled to have Julie join SunEdison."

Julie Blunden commented:

"SunEdison is perfectly positioned to capitalize on the transformation of the power sector as renewable resources outpace the growth of conventional resources. The acquisitions of First Wind and Solar Grid Storage, married with SunEdison's global development engine and asset ownership platform, TerraForm Power, Inc., creates tremendous value to our shareholders."

Ms. Blunden has previously served at Chief Executive Officer of ClimateWorks, Executive Vice President at SunPower as it grew from $11 million in revenue to more than $2.3 billion, and has more than 25 years of experience in the electric industry including executive positions at KEMA, Green Mountain Energy Company and a decade of experience at AES.

She completed her MBA degree at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and her A.B. degree, with an engineering major, at Dartmouth College.
