Solar Energy Corporation of India tenders 500 MW roof solar

Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a company under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) of India, has recently published a Request for Selection (RFS) of bidders for the implementation of a 500 MW Grid Connected Rooftop Solar PV System Scheme in different states of India.

The total power capacity of the bidding process is going to be separated under CAPEX (300 MW) and RESCO (200 MW) models, which in turn are subdivided in the following three categories:

  • 250 MW PART-A (CAPEX Only)
  • 200 MW PART-B (RESCO Only)
  • 50 MW PART-C (CAPEX Only) for residential and small capacities. 

The contracts will have a term of 5 years for PART-A and PART-C and of 25 years for PART-B after commissioning of project. 

The scope of the project involves the identification of rooftops and the agreement between the successful bidder and the rooftop owner for the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing & commissioning of the grid connected rooftop solar PV project including operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project.

The total timeline for the above scope of work up to commissioning of project is 12 months only.

A pre-bid conference shall be held on 05/05/2016 at 11:00 a.m. at SECI office, 1st floor, A-wing, Religare Building, D-3, District Centre, Saket, New 6 Delhi-17. 

The three categories PART-A, PART-B and PART-C will have different deadlines for the submission of the Request for Selection (RFS) documents.
