Energiekontor sells 9 MW German solar park

Energiekontor AG has sold the Nadrensee solar park to the public utilities company Stadtwerke Tübingen. The solar park went into operations and was connected to the grid only a few days after the agreements were signed. The project was bought in the first auction round for solar plants in Germany in April 2015.

The Nadrensee solar park is a greenfield PV plant with a string inverter concept and rated power of just under 9 MWp. The plant is located in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district at the south-eastern end of Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania. A total of 57,600 CIS thin-film solar modules have been installed in this solar park on both sides along the A 11 motorway.

Peter Szabo, CEO of Energiekontor AG, is satisfied:

"With the Nadrensee project, we have successfully implemented our first tender project in the solar sector. In line with our growth strategy, we intend to expand the solar business further in the future. For this purpose, we not only focus on the German market but equally look for opportunities abroad such as in the south of France and in the US.

In addition to the already signed purchase agreements for five wind farms, the sale of Nadrensee is an important milestone for our earnings target this year. However, completing these wind farms that are still under construction before the end of the year as planned and the successful and complete sale of another large wind farm, which is still in process, in the course of 2016, are key prerequisites for reaching this target."
