The SDAX-listed wind and solar park operator Encavis AG has successfully connected the first kilowatt-hours (KWh) from the largest solar park in the group's portfolio "Talayuela" into the Spanish high-voltage network.
Encavis AG once again proved the reliability of its growth strategy with the timely completion of the major project "Talayuela" with a generation capacity of around 300 megawatts (MWp). Following the equally successful grid connection of the major project "La Cabrera" with a generation capacity of around 200 MWp in September of last year, Spain, with a generation capacity of around 500 MW, is now the leader in the ENCAVIS Group's solar park portfolio.
Dr. Christoph Husmann, CFO of Encavis AG, said:"From the two Spanish solar parks alone, we are generating additional subsidy-free sales of more than EUR36 million (USD43.80 million) and an additional EBITDA of more than EUR27 million (USD32.85 million) in the current year"
The solar project is located in Caceres, in the western region of Extremadura, Spain. It's 830,000 solar modules generate enough electricity to meet the needs of around 166,000 homes each year.
Solarcentury has been granted authorisation for access to the network to develop two solar projects in Turís and Alborache near Valencia, Spain. The solar farms will have a total capacity of 87.5 MWp each and could be operational by 2024. The company is going to invest EUR125 million (USD152 million) in these two solar projects.
