Eight bidders in the race for Danish offshore wind farm

Danish Energy Agency (DEA) said last week that it has received eight pre-qualification documents to participate in the tender for Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm, the 600MW Kriegers Flak.

DEA said that the great interest shows that Denmark offers an attractive framework and an effective and transparent bidding process.

DEA will now check whether the applications meet the minimum criteria in the tender documents.

After that, the agency will inform applicants and subsequently publish the names of the candidates who are pre-qualified to participate.

The tender for the Kriegers Flak will take more than a year and involves a negotiation process with the bidders. The final and binding offers must be submitted on November 8, 2016.
