DIF Infrastructure IV fund has closed the acquisition of the Wadlow wind project from BEIF II, a fund managed by 3i.
Wadlow is an operational 26 MW onshore wind farm, located in South Cambridgeshire, UK, equipped with 13x Vestas V90 turbines and is financed by Lloyds and EIB. The project will be capable of generating sufficient renewable energy to meet the annual requirements of nearly 17,000 UK homes.
Wadlow was commissioned in September 2012 and is serviced under a long-term full service O&M contract with Vestas. DIF was advised by Watson Farley & Williams (legal), DNV GL (technical) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (tax & accounting).
Last week we reported that BEIF II LP, acting by its general partner 3i BEIF II GP LLP, disposed of its investment in Wadlow Wind Farm to DIF Infrastructure IV. The 26MW 1 ROC-accredited wind farm has been operational since 2012 and it's located in Cambridgeshire, UK.
