BEIF II LP, acting by its general partner 3i BEIF II GP LLP, has disposed of its investment in Wadlow Wind Farm to DIF Infrastructure IV, a fund managed by independent fund management group, DIF. JLL’s Energy and Infrastructure Advisory team acted as lead financial advisor to 3i throughout the deal, while Pinsent Masons provided legal advice.

The 26MW 1 ROC-accredited wind farm has been operational since 2012 and it's located in Cambridgeshire, UK.

Nigel Middleton, Partner in 3i’s Infrastructure team said:

“3i is delighted to have completed this market-leading transaction to such a professional and experienced counterparty as DIF. 3i has a proven track record of investing in low-risk energy projects and the disposal of Wadlow Wind Farm advances the realisation of BEIF II LP’s portfolio.”

Dane Wilkins, Head of Energy and Infrastructure Advisory at JLL, commented:

“The closing of this transaction demonstrates JLL’s ability to deliver value for its clients despite challenging market conditions including falling power prices and uncertainty around Brexit, but ultimately secured a good deal for 3i, with DIF benefitting from an attractive and long-term cashflow-yielding investment into the UK onshore wind market.”
