DE Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) has started operations on its 100 MW solar energy farm (Drew Solar) in Imperial County, California, USA. The facility began operating in December 2022.
The project Drew Solar has a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). The facility is anticipated to produce sufficient clean energy to supply approximately 30,000 homes annually, according to metrics provided by the Environmental Protection Agency.

SOLV Energy was responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction, and will continue to oversee operations and maintenance services to the facility. The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority and Bona Terra Energy were involved in the co-development of project.
