Canadian Solar announces submission of Yieldco registration

Canadian Solar has announced that it has confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 to theU.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to the proposed initial public offering of common equity of a YieldCo vehicle.

The number of securities to be sold and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined. The initial public offering is subject to the SEC review process, market and other conditions.

Founded in 2001 in Canada, the company is a manufacturer of solar photovoltaic modules and a provider of solar energy solutions. Canadian Solar has a geographically diversified pipeline of utility-scale power projects.

In the past 14 years, Canadian Solar has successfully deployed over 11 GW of modules in over 70 countries around the world.
