Arup selected as Owners Engineer for 2 GW solar & battery energy storage System in Australia

Arup has been awarded the role of owner engineer on Stage 1 of the Bulli Creek Solar Project located approximately 150 km southwest of Toowoomba in southeast Queensland, Australia. 

Genex is developing the multi-stage development project of up to 2 GW of large-scale solar and battery energy storage system having the capacity to generate power for 700,000 homes a year. The Energy Park covers an area of ~5,000 ha and is adjacent to Powerlink’s 330 kV Bulli Creek Substation. 

PCL Construction has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the first stage of the project with the first energy production targeted for 2026.
