Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), the renewables arm of the Adani Group has announced the successful operation of its fourth wind-solar hybrid power plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India. The new hybrid plant has a combined operational generation capacity of 700 MW and is a co-located combination of 600 MW solar and 510 MW wind plants.
The project possesses advanced renewable technologies to generate maximum electricity from solar energy, including bifacial solar PV modules and horizontal single-axis trackers (HSAT) systems. The plant is designed to deliver a capacity utilization factor (CUF) of a minimum of 50%, the highest CUF of any renewable project in India.
The newly operational hybrid power plant at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at INR3.24/kWh (US$0.04/kWh) for 25 years. With the new addition, AGEL has reached a wind-solar hybrid portfolio of 2,140 MW, the largest in the world.
