Taiwan Mobile (TWM) was established in 1997 and, following its merger with Taiwan Star on December 1, 2023, has grown into one of Taiwan’s top three telecom operators, serving over 10 million users nationwide. TWM’s 5G network covers approximately 97% of Taiwan’s population, powered by a robust frequency mix that includes the golden 3.5 GHz band and key lower bands such as 700 MHz and 900 MHz. The company follows a “Telco+Tech” strategy and a “5G+” approach, combining telecom, digital services, green initiatives, and growth across Greater Southeast Asia. They offer a wide range of services, including 5G, broadband, postpaid/prepaid plans, international roaming, eSIM (primarily for postpaid customers), and digital entertainment (featuring streaming platforms such as Disney+, MyVideo, MAX, and KKBOX). Their tech ventures span cloud gaming, telecom finance, EV charging solutions, and AI and cybersecurity services.
