PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power (SMGP) is a joint venture company established by KS Orka Renewables Pte. Ltd. and PT Supraco Indonesia in connection with the issuance of a geothermal concession license in Sorik Marapi region, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia in 2010, for development and operation of geothermal power plant. SMGP has a geothermal concession area of 62,900 hectares and a potential geothermal resource of up to 240 MW. The company has completed the construction of two units of 45 MW geothermal power plant, which began commercial operation in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
