The Parliament Solar project, a 640 MWdc solar facility in Waller County, near Houston, Texas, is set to produce approximately 1,100 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power about 140,000 homes, with full operations expected by late 2024 or early 2025. The project will avoid 800,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually. It will generate significant economic benefits, including over $35 million in tax revenue for Waller County over 35 years and more than $7.5 million in supplemental payments to the Waller Independent School District. The initiative supports Texas’ energy needs by harnessing solar power in a region ideal for renewable energy, reducing grid stress and enhancing energy independence by diversifying the state’s energy portfolio. It will create over 300 jobs during construction and at least five full-time positions during operations, while funding local schools, roads, and community services. Supported by EnCap Investments and Mercuria Energy, Parliament Energy leverages expertise and capital to lead in renewable energy production.
