The Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) is a wholly government-owned public utility responsible for the generation, procurement, transmission and distribution of electricity across the Kingdom of Eswatini. The company works to provide reliable, safe and environmentally sustainable electricity to residential, commercial and industrial customers, while supporting the country’s industrialisation and socio-economic development. EEC operates a portfolio of hydroelectric power stations and solar generation assets and is increasingly focused on expanding renewable energy and domestic generation capacity to reduce reliance on imported electricity. Its network includes 1,344 km of transmission lines and 22,251 km of distribution lines, serving more than 257,000 customers across domestic, commercial and industrial categories.
