Electrocentrale Borzesti

Electrocentrale Borzesti is a Romanian power plant company that is focused on rehabilitating and optimizing processes for long-term energy production, modernizing facilities and infrastructure, ensuring increased energy demand and consumer safety, and environmental protection. The company was founded in 1951 as a thermal power plant to supply electricity and heat to the Onesti industrial complex. In 2020, Electrocentrale Borzesti was acquired by Renovatio Group, a Romanian energy company that is focused on renewable energy and sustainable development. Electrocentrale Borzesti holds approximately 1 GW capacity of renewable projects, out of which 950 MW wind and 50 MW photovoltaic. 

Renovatio has plans to rehabilitate and modernize Electrocentrale Borzesti to make it a more efficient and environmentally friendly power plant. The company also plans to add new renewable energy capacity to the plant, such as solar and wind power.
