CPFL Renováveis explores opportunities in the Brazilian market for the generation of electric power from alternative sources, through the development, construction and operation of a portfolio of small (up to 30 MW) and medium (up to 200 MW) scale plants, such as PCHs, wind power plants, biomass-fired power plants and solar power plant. As of October 2015, its portfolio of projects totals 5,254.8 MW, and comprises 38 SHPPs, 34 wind farms, 8 UTEs in operation and 1 solar power plant (1,801.9 MW), 2 SHPP (50.5 MW) and 11 wind farms (282.3MW) under construction, as also 3,453 MW in preparation for construction and development in the three renewable sources.
