VRA starts commercial operation of 13 MWp solar project in Kaleo

Volta River Authority (VRA) has started the commercial operation of the 13 MWp solar photovoltaic project located in Kaleo in the Upper West Region of Ghana. 

The project was constructed by Elecnor with Tractebel Engineering acting as the Project Consultant. The German Development Bank KfW has extended a EUR22.8 million (US$27.98 million) loan financing to VRA to develop the project and another 6.5 MW solar farm in Lawra.
