Invenergy LLC has signed two virtual power purchase agreements (VPPA) for the 250 MW Blooming Grove Wind Energy Centre located in McLean County, Illinois.

Saint-Gobain North America has sealed a contract for the 120 MW portion of the Blooming Grove Wind Energy Centre. The agreement will see Saint-Gobain get renewable energy certificates (RECs) that will effectively offset electricity-related carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from its US operations by 40%.

In April of 2020, Verizon Communications Inc has entered a VPPA with Invenergy for a 130 MW portion of the 250 MW Blooming Grove Wind Energy Centre.

The Blooming Grove Wind Energy Centre project is expected to be operational by the end of the year 2020.
