Tilt Renewables Limited has completed turbine erection activities at the 133 MW Waipipi Wind Farm located near Waverley in South Taranaki, New Zealand, with all 31 turbines now erected and 29 turbines exporting to the grid.
Construction activities at the site are now winding down and work is focused on completing the commissioning of the final 2 turbines.
The project is TLT’s largest single asset in New Zealand, consisting of 31 x 4.3-MW wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 133.3MW, and will produce an annual average electricity generation of 455 GWh, enough for around 65,000 homes. All output from the project is being purchased by Genesis Energy under a long‐ term offtake agreement.
