The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) has provided guarantees of US$73 million for the project and for two other wind farms (Noupoort and Loeriesfontein 2). The guarantees will cover equity and shareholder loan investments by Lekela Power B.V. and its subsidiary, Lekela Power Intermediate Holdings (Pty) Ltd, for up to 15 years. The covered risks include expropriation, transfer restriction and inconvertibility, breach of contract and war and civil disturbance
