The EDF Energies Nouvelles will build the Provence Grand Large (PGL) floating wind energy project as funded by the French government under the Investments for the Future (PIA) programme. The PIA funding covers the conception and development, constructions of the facilities, and the operation and maintenance of the project. The project will use three Siemens 8-MW turbine with floating structure to be provided by the IFPEN/SBM.
