Tender issued for 500 MW PV solar projects in Uzbekistan

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan has launched the Request for Qualification (RFQ) stage of a tender to select independent power producers for the development of three solar PV plants in Uzbekistan.

The projects will be implemented on the develop, finance, construct, own and operate (DBFO) PPP model. The projects are being conducted in consultation with International Finance Corporation. Three plants will be located on lots in Namangan, Bukhara and Khorezm regions with a total summed capacity of up to 500 MW.

Each project will have an AC capacity of approximately 100 MWac for the Khorezm Project, approximately 150 MWac for the Namangan Project, and approximately 200 MWac for the Bukhara Project. The Bukhara Project will include battery storage components with a storage capacity of around 63 MW.
