Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation (NSPM), has issued a Request for Proposals ("RFP") to seek proposals for the planned development of up to 500 MW solar photovoltaic project in Minnesota, USA.
The proposed project must be located near Sherburne County (Sherco) coal-fired power plant in Becker. Xcel Energy is accepting project proposals for at least 75 MW that will be connected to the Sherco energy infrastructures.
NSPM is targeting to procure solar generation (“RFP Projects”) via Build Transfer (“BT”) Agreements.
The solar PV project is expected to achieve commercial operation prior to December 31, 2023.
The deadline for the submission of documents to participate in the tender is on February 2, 2021. The evaluation of bids is scheduled for February 22, 2021, with contracts due to be completed by March 15, 2021.
