Squire Patton Boggs Adds Energy & Projects Expert Luke C. McCosker

Luke C. McCosker has joined Squire Patton Boggs as a foreign legal consultant in the Energy & Natural Resources Practice. He arrives in London and will transition his practice to the firm’s Houston office in February. Most recently, Mr. McCosker served as in-house counsel for projects and procurement at BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Bank.

An experienced projects lawyer, Mr. McCosker specializes in engineering, procurement and construction law. Throughout his career, he has worked on numerous diverse and highly visible world-class projects, including: advising sponsors, developers and funders on a range of international EPC energy and infrastructure projects throughout Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Asia; acting as lead in-house counsel for the Olympic Delivery Authority on core aspects of the £9 billion (US$13.3 billion) program for the construction of venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic Games; and acting as the principal in-house construction counsel for Phases 1 and 2 of the £8 billion (US$11.8 billion) Battersea Power Station redevelopment project.

Holding dual citizenships in Australia and in the UK, Mr. McCosker received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Queensland, Australia. He achieved his Master of Laws in Energy and Natural Resources Law at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
