PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap (SERD), a joint venture between PT Supreme Energy, Engie SA, Marubeni Corporation, and Tohoku Electric Power Co Inc, has achieved commercial operation of the Phase-1 Rantau Dedap Geothermal Power Generation project, with a capacity of 91.2 MW, on December 26, 2021.
The Phase-1 Rantau Dedap Geothermal project has an investment of more than US$700 million and is located in Muara Enim Regency, Lahat Regency, and Pagar Alam City in South Sumatra province of Indonesia.
The project will supply energy to the PT PLN (Persero) Sumatra grid transmission system under a 30-year PPA term.
