Senvion Australia has secured a 15-year extension to the Service Contract for Meridian Energy Australia's Mt Mercer Wind Farm. The contract extension will see Senvion continue to provide maintenance services to the wind farm through 2035.
Mt Mercer wind farm is a 131 MW wind project located in Victoria, Australia. The facility produces energy required for up to 74,000 homes, reducing 400,000t of greenhouse gas emissions.
The scheme is developed on 2,600 ha of land in the Golden Plains Shire, approximately 30km south of Ballarat. The project comprises of 64 Senvion MM92 turbines with a generation capacity of 2.05 MW each.
