Scatec Solar has announced that it has completed the acquisition of additional stakes in the Kalkbult, Linde and Dreunberg solar plants located in South Africa, which have a total capacity of 190 MW and are all in operation.
The acquisition involves 33% of Norfund's 21% shares in the Kalkbult plant and KLP Norfund's 16% shares in Linde and Dreunberg, increasing Scatec Solar's stake in each of the plants from 39% to 45%. The remaining shares have been acquired by STANLIB Private Equity Infrastructure Fund 1.
The parties agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction.
