RWE commissions two onshore wind project in Texas and Oklahoma

RWE has commissioned the 148 MW Boiling Springs wind farm located in Woodward County, Oklahoma, and 200 MW East Raymond onshore wind farm in south Texas USA.

Boiling Springs wind project consists of a total of 60 GE wind turbines and the 200 MW East Raymond onshore wind farm features a total of 91 Vestas wind turbines. 

In 2019, RWE has signed a 12-year power purchase agreement with Austin Energy for the 200 MW East Raymond wind farm.

In September of 2019, RWE has signed a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with American Honda Motor Co. Inc, to offtake the 120 MW portion of the 148 MW Boiling Springs wind project.
